April 10, 2020

Greetings faith family, I pray that you are well in the Lord. As we journey through this challenging season, let me offer a few words of encouragement to you. Let us not forget that God is not surprised, afraid, or threatened by the current crisis (or any crisis that happens on earth). He is sovereign. He truly is Lord of All. Additionally, our God is a God who is present. He has not left us or forsaken us. He not only has our future secure, but He also provides us with our daily bread.

Remember what this week is for us. Do not lose sight of what all of this means. On Palm Sunday, the King entered His City just as was promised. On Thursday, the King bowed and washed the feet of His disciples. On Friday, the sinless King, the Creator of the world, died so that those who call upon His Name are forgiven, saved, and restored. On Sunday, the King rose from the dead, HE IS RISEN, defeating death and giving us victory. Easter is a celebration of Jesus Christ’s victory. It is a celebration of the Gospel, the good news that Christ has died, Christ has risen, AND Christ will come again. Remember. But more than just recalling a fond memory, Live. Live your life in such a way that those around you see the Gospel at work within you. My prayer is that we will be known as a people who embody the Gospel, who extend the invitation to receive the Grace of God to those around us. To this end, ask the Holy Spirit to show you how He wants to use your life and submit to His work in and through you so that the Gospel spreads from Gowanda to the ends of the earth.

The Lord Bless you and Keep you; the Lord make His Face Shine upon you, and be Gracious to you; the Lord Lift up His Countenance upon you, and Give you Peace.

I Love You.

In Christ,

Pastor Simon
